3 Personal Development Steps to Manifesting Your Desires

Do you know how powerful your thoughts really are? Are you fully aware that these thoughts, all 50,000 per day, are singularly the most powerful influences on everything that happens to you in your life and are the only reason you have attracted the people you know, the house you live in and the car you drive?

In fact the sum total of everyone's thoughts is the very object that shapes everything that exists, everything that has existed, and everything that will ever exist. You may ask then "if this is true then shouldn't it be possible to bring into existence anything we desire?"

Well the short simple answer is YES!

It is through the power of deliberate thought that we can create our reality. While thought alone does have the power to bring tangible (cars, houses, boats) and intangible (peace, harmony and joy) things into existence, often times this is not enough!  Intention, or directed thinking and believing, is enough to create powerful enough thoughts to manifest anything we want but you must also add two other ingredients.

First of all, your thoughts must be backed by emotion. The more powerful the emotion behind it, the more powerful the thought will be. It is essential to create within you the same feelings that you will have when you actually achieve your desire. You actually do this all the time, only in the opposite direction. For example, you think of what you are afraid of having happen and all of a sudden you feel frightened, tense and may even start to exhibit some physiological symptoms such as sweating or shaking or just get the shivers. So now, begin to reverse this method of thinking. No longer ever think about the negative things you do not want.  Think only of what you do want to have in your life experience and conjure up the feelings associated with those things. How will it feel to meet and marry that person who is your perfect match? How will it feel behind the wheel of that new Mercedes, or in the kitchen of that new home?

The second key ingredient of the three needed ingredients is taking positive action! It is necessary to be prepared to take some action. This is a key point that many personal development gurus leave out. Often the action(s) that you need to take will not be overly strenuous or taxing.  In fact, they will often be enjoyable and feel right to you.

Each of us here on the planet plays our own special role in the complete operation of the Universe. We are all One, interconnected and interdependent. Your desires will almost always come about through some process of intent, action, and through a connection to other people.

Your thoughts do have the power to completely change your life and circumstances. When thoughts are backed by intent and emotion they become an unstoppable force that will carry you to whatever possible result you want from life. But you must be willing to take the steps towards your desires when these steps are presented to you. For example, thinking and believing you will soon meet your soul mate may begin giving you opportunities to meet said soul mate, however, if you just sit at your house all day and don’t take the action of going and looking for your soul mate you will never meet them. You may find that you begin to get asked to go to places with friends more often or get invited to a place you have never been before. You may even accidently meet old friends or develop new friendships. This is the Universe setting you on a path towards obtaining your desires. Take that invitation. Even if it is something you have no desire to do, or somewhere you do not want to go, you should accept the invitation. Who knows who you may meet or where you may end up!

So remember, ingredient one, your thoughts have power. Ingredient two, thoughts backed by strong emotion, intent, and belief can change the very fabric of the Universe and create ANYTHING you want. And the third ingredient is to begin taking action.  Taking action to accomplish your dreams and fulfill your intent is the last key ingredient to realizing your desires and living the life of your dreams. Now get out there and begin creating your better life experience!

5 Ways to Maximize Your Energy Supply

Different governments, officials and environmental agencies exhort us to conserve the energy we use in order to save the environment and sustain our continued existence on the planet.

On a personal level, I think that we also need to know how to conserve, focus, and maximize our own personal supply of energy. We unconsciously dissipate and waste our energy on people, situations, thoughts, attitudes and events which do not serve us well. This leaves less space and energy for creating and attracting the kind of abundance that we want in our lives.

Probably not the most effective use of time or energy.

Interestingly enough I've also found that as I conserve, focus and thereby maximize my energy, I tend to use less energy on craving and acquiring "stuff".  I notice I also use more energy focusing on what is truly important to me, thereby helping my environment and energy supply.

So here are 5 Ways to Maximize Your Personal Energy Supply:

1. Release Resistance.

Releasing resistance will affect a profound change in both your level of energy and also how you view the world. Resistance often feels as though we are going against ourselves in order to satisfy some internal authority or a myriad of "should" "ought to" and "have-to get done" requirements. It takes a tremendous amount of energy to be resistant.

Related feelings and behavior caused by resisting include: procrastination, using willpower and discipline to effect change (otherwise known as "I Have To Struggle To Achieve What I Want"!), stubbornness, inflexibility, wanting to be right rather than happy (a very popular one), and holding onto self-limiting beliefs way past their sell by date.

Releasing resistance can be as easy as simply making a decision to let go of whatever you are holding onto. Energy therapy also helps release resistance on some very deep levels.

2. Reduce the time you spend watching TV.

Watching TV unconsciously is very exhausting to the average person. Haven't you noticed that when you watch TV continuously and do little else, somehow you become extremely tired? This is because you are merely a passive recipient of information that you're not fully engaged with.  All of this information intake, combined with the physical microwave consumption (similar to that from computers) is very taxing on the body. It is also true that while you are watching TV, you are not doing something that may be more productive.

Now, I am not saying that you should stop watching TV altogether. I am simply implying that it would be more beneficial to your health to be more selective and watch only those programs that you have an active interest in and will be engaged with. I would personally recommend that you stop watching the mainstream media news. The constant fear mongering and mass scare tactics it subjects you to only lead to a frame of mind that is counter-intuitive to welcoming abundance. I find that my mindset, moods and overall energy improve significantly when I watch less TV.

 3. Consciously create positive vacuums.

If you clean out an area of your life, you are consciously sending the Universe a message to introduce something new to replace that object in your life. This is otherwise known as energetic and/or physical clutter clearing. Start with either option. Most people find it easier to start with clearing out the physical clutter around them which has a negative effect on their energies. You are consciously creating the space for change to occur, and inviting what you do want to enter your life. Doesn’t this sound much easier than to constantly strive and struggle to make positive changes occur?  Of course it does.  Start with your bedroom, or your closet.  Rid yourself of all the “clutter” draining your energies and you will be the beneficiary of great rewards.

4. Avoid or Deal with All Energy Vampires.

One of the quickest ways to get an energy boost is to disassociate yourself from those whose energy drains you. It is a very effective method of establishing a positive energy flow in your life.  This becomes difficult if they are your partner, member of your family, work colleagues or boss. One method is to develop a stronger set of boundaries and energetic protection with this person, so that they are less likely to affect you in a negative fashion.

5. Create quiet time for yourself every day.

We all need time, every day, just to clear and refresh our minds. We are human beings, not robots. There are times when our crowded schedule and over-worked minds don't allow space and time for the creative to be welcomed in. Einstein liked to go sailing in the afternoons after working in the morning. Okay, most of us don't have this opportunity, but you get the point.  I like to meditate for thirty minutes to an hour every night before I go to sleep.  If I have an opportunity during the day I will take ten minutes out to put on some binaural beats and recharge my energy or just relax.  Find something that you enjoy doing by yourself, for yourself and do it for at least ten minutes to an hour every single day.

If you start out with only one of the above, then your life will begin to undergo a profound change.  Find a way to introduce all of the methods into your life and it will truly increase your happiness and energy levels.

9 Steps to a More Abundant Life

Many of us are bogged down by our lives.  We are stressed, short of time, tired, or running our lives on a treadmill every day.  We know that this is not the correct way to live.  We do not know how to free ourselves to live more fully and more abundantly. There are simple things we can do that don’t take time or money.  These things merely take a change of attitude. Here are 9 of them:

1. Become totally honest financially.  Know each month how much money you need to a lot towards all of your responsibilities before you partition off your disposable income.  This will become extremely rewarding when you become able to meet all of your bills on time every month and your credit begins improving.

2. Don’t clutter up your life or your living space by constantly acquiring the next best thing.  It is better to not fill your life up with the things you don’t really want. Ask yourself if you want each thing before you acquire it. The goal is not to have an abundant amount of material objects.  Rather, the goal is to live your life abundantly by seeking out the objects and experiences that truly resonate within you.

3. Tithing is often associated with religion, but it is also possible to tithe in a non-religious context. This appears to be a fundamental aspect of practicing abundant living.  Every time you freely give money away to someone with a greater need, you are implying that you are confident that you will receive more money, and that you do not suffer from any lack. There is a lot of power behind showing your confidence in abundance. The traditional amount to tithe is 10% of your income. I’ve recommended this to several different people.  It seems that the most common response is that once they began doing this, more abundance showed up in their lives. I do my best to tithe 10%. I’ve seen that the more I give, the more I get back, and the happier and more abundantly I live.

4. Be grateful for what you already possess. Focus on the good that is already in your life. It is very easy to be drawn into the trap of constantly dwelling on what we don’t have.  When this occurs, be mindful of it and change your thought pattern.  Focus on the many friends and family members in your life.  Begin spending some time each day, even if it is only for a few minutes, thinking about the good things in your life.  In the morning when you wake up, start each day thinking of 5 things that you are grateful for, and express these things out loud (this will make you more apt to remember them).

5. Resentment, jealousy, envy and self-pity interfere with the free-flow of abundance. When you are jealous or envious of someone, or of someone else’s possessions, it implies to the universe that you believe that the things that person possesses are not also available for you to possess. If you find it difficult to let go of these feelings, Bach flower remedies may help. Try the remedy ‘willow’ to counteract resentment and self-pity, or try ‘holly’ for envy, jealousy and greed.

Forgive those that may have wronged you.

6. Forgiving those that have wronged you is a part of living life abundantly. Keeping a hold of your anger, however justifiable it may seem, keeps you stuck in the past.  You are then unable to progress forward into a better future. If it is difficult to let go of your negative feelings, try writing a letter expressing all of your anger, hurt or envy. Write until you have listed all of your feelings, and then burn the letter.  This will release you of the negative energy holding you back.

7. Open yourself up to receiving from other people. Many people find it difficult, but being able to receive is healthy. You may need to practice receiving. Think of the pleasure you receive from giving. When other people give to you, this is their opportunity to feel that pleasure.  By not receiving generously, you are denying other people the pleasure of giving.  This creates a negative energy balance and prohibits abundances’ flow.

8. Come to the realization that, in general, good luck plays a very small role in people’s lives.  When you put your faith in good luck, then you open up the possibility of bad luck occurring as well.  People who put their faith in good luck often spend their lives waiting for good things to happen to them. People who don’t believe in luck tend to go out and make good things happen for themselves.  Be proactive and make your own good luck.

9. Firmly believe that there is enough money, food, love and happiness in the world for everyone to live abundantly.  This may be the hardest one to accomplish.   It can be very hard to believe when we are constantly shown war and starvation in the newspapers and on the TV.  The majority of this strife, need and anger is caused by people who believe that they do not possess enough.  Often, these are the people that substitute money and oil in their mind for all the other abundances of life.  Every day, do something positive to help other people, and strive to work towards correcting the imbalance as best you can.  Start to live your life recognizing that there are inequalities and shortages, but know that if we work together, than it will be possible to correct these imbalances.

Here are a couple of positive affirmations for you:
"The vibrant wellness in my body increases every day."
"I feel completely at ease and comfortable with all types of people."
"I have the power to change myself."

A Couple Quick Self Improvement Tips

An ordered life is one of the most assured methods of self-improvement. The saying “tidy desk - tidy mind” is also certainly true but only a small part of it. It is important that you order your life in such a manner that allows you to do everything you need to do, when you need to do it. You should also be able to effectively ensure that you become happier and more content, as well as progress with your career, make new friends and anything else that you want in life.

While work is important, you should always make time to spend with your family and be sure to take a little personal time. This personal time could be an excellent opportunity to take up a physical hobby. Exercising helps to clear the mind and produce chemicals in your body that are essential for happiness and stress relief and are often lacking. Modern living involves longer working hours and less personal time. Inevitably this has led to less social interaction between friends and family.  It is important that you schedule your time to include social activities with those close to you.

Always set goals for yourself to help aid in your progress. Increasing the amount of exercise you do will only be beneficial and successful if you have a reason to do it. If you simply want to get fitter and stay healthy then set yourself an achievement goal. If you currently walk 1 mile a day, then aim to walk 5 miles a day. When you are walking 5 miles a day, consider if there is any way you can improve upon your progress.  Always move forward, never stand still.

As mentioned, time with your family and friends is essential. We are social animals by nature and so human interaction is not only natural but also healthy and pleasurable. Taking up a sport with a friend or group of friends would combine exercise with interaction and be one perfect solution. Your friends may turn out to be the extra motivation you require in the event of times when you experience low motivation.

It is up to each of us as individuals to take control of our lives and include all of the aspects that are required to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.  When you begin to set aside more time for interaction with friends and family you will notice the great effect it has on lowering your stress and irritability levels.

Including exercise in your routine at least three times a week will also go a long way in improving your overall health and well-being.  Exercise will also help to get your body in better shape and that is beneficial in countless ways.  In short, take some time out of your day to play with your friends and family and remember to stay active!

10 Simple Tips for Living a Happier Life

Everyone strives to be happy but the mistake that everyone makes is that they think that happiness is some kind of finishing line in a race. Once you have crossed that line, you will live happily ever after. That is not true. Happiness is a choice! You can choose to make your life happy. So here are a few ways you could try today.

  1. Let go of past memories.
Everyone has both sad and happy moments. So forget about your painful memories. What’s in the past, stays in the past.  Instead, focus on your good memories and move on.

  1. Be optimistic.
Always try looking on the bright side of things. Look for the silver lining behind each dark cloud. For example, if you had an unfortunate accident and your car is badly dented, but on the bright side, nobody got hurt and that dent in your car can be repaired. There is always a bright side to look on so be optimistic!

  1. Be close to your family
Try and maintain a close relationship with your family and friends. Our       relationships with them have a greater impact on our happiness than anything else.   Human beings are made to be social creatures. So appreciate the existing relationships that you have.

  1. Try finding a job that gives you happiness.
If you are feeling stressed out in your current job and not getting the job satisfaction that you want, perhaps it’s time for a career change. Job satisfaction plays an important part in your happiness. So give your job a chance. Try having a positive attitude in your job. If that doesn’t work, it may be time for a change of jobs.

  1. Make friends
You need to make friends with people who share a common interest. Find something that you are deeply passionate about. It could be a hobby or an organization you can volunteer in. There you could meet people who have the same interest and passion as you.

  1. Exercise
Exercising releases endorphins. So, not only you are taking care of your body but you will automatically start to feel good about yourself.

  1. Change your thinking
You have to start living life to the fullest. Don’t delay your life a second longer. Try something new everyday or pick up a new skill!

  1. Don’t let the small stuff bug you.
Remember all the small petty stuff that used to bother you? Forget all about it and focus on the bigger picture. Life is too short to be worry about trivial stuff.

  1. Live your life for yourself.
Stop trying to live your life up to other people’s expectations. You are your own person. So start living it for yourself!

  1. Lastly, remember to love with all your heart. You have all this love to give so give your love to something and start feeling happy today!

Stress Management for Self Improvement

Stress has always been a part of our daily lives. We often find ways to deal it with but it can become unbearable when you're tightly under its grip. The important part here is to take control of stress before it ends up controlling you -- which is to say that you will be making a lot of mistakes that will take quite a lot of time and effort to fix. This is where stress management comes in.

Why Get Rid Of Stress?

We can never deny the fact that stress can be a big hindrance in everything you plan to do with your life. It can get in the way of business, career, or even with your family and friends. If you give in to the irritation and anger that is often the result of stress, you are bound to make the wrong decisions and commit plenty of mistakes that will cause any number of problems for you and your family.

You can lose your job, do badly in a business deal, or even make enemies left and right when you let your stress control you. Learn to control your stressors and get rid of them every time they crop up to improve your quality of life.

Find The Source Of Your Stress

Knowing the source of your stress can help give you a number of possible solution options to help counter it. If your stress stems from overwork, then take some time off from your busy schedule to relax. The home can also become a stressful environment, especially when it's disorganized and sometimes cluttered. If you think that the design of the interior is giving you problems, then take some time to rearrange the furniture, or add some home décor to make it more comfortable to live in.  Once you are able to determine the problem(s) then you can take the necessary steps to correct them.

Learn To Relax Once In A While

Everyone would agree that work, or the demands of work, is a major cause of an individual’s stress levels. If you think that you have “that wild look” in your eyes every time your boss asks you to do something, then it might be time to ask for a vacation, or some leave to relax yourself outside of work before it leads you into trouble.

Take some time off from your busy schedule and visit the local spa. Pamper yourself by indulging in a full-body massage or get an aromatherapy session going on to help you relax. You can always take a vacation if you really want to get the thoughts of work out of your system, but a regular massage will do wonders if you can't afford to be absent from your work for an extended period.

Find the Child within You

Kids are known to be stress-free. Even if you scold them or force them to eat vegetables, you will rarely see them suffer from stress for a prolonged period of time. The reason for this is that their mindset is set to enjoy life as they see fit. We can all take our cue from them and enjoy life a little bit more.

Find your inner child and just play. You can grab your Playstation 3 out of the cabinet and bring out the games you usually play during your free time. Another idea is to listen to your favorite music or read some of your favorite literature on the internet or your kindle. You can even play online games if you like, anything small just to help get your mind off of your work.

Keep in mind that the basis of stress management lies not in the methods you use for removing stress from your system. The focus here is to learn new methods to divert your mind from the situations that cause us to stress.  The point is to give ourselves time to relax and later come back to face the situation with a clear mind.
