Life is Too Short - What Are We Wating For?

Today I am just bringing to my beloved readers attention a couple of useful tools and resources and also introducing a person who is a world wide speaker and recognized business authority.  If you have not seen or heard any of his work, it is worth your time to pop over to his personal page and take a quick look.  I am talking about: Mr. George Walther.  In this post I feature two distinctly different points, as well as two individual learning resources to be perused.
A quick bit about Mr. Walther: Acclaimed for three decades as a professional speaker and author whose business-boosting works are published around the world, George Walther is now also celebrated as the "Traveling Twain of the 21st Century." He presents keynotes and workshops for diverse businesses, ranging from Starbucks and Microsoft to dentists and entrepreneurs. On stage, he combines tales from his adventures in 99 countries, as featured in USA Today, with 33 years of business authorship and consulting to deliver potent, practical lessons for commerce and life.  Here you see Mr. Walther.

Without further ado:

Here is an individual learning card from Mr. Walther's Iphone app Speaking From Experience.      :                              It's Not What Happens to You-It's What You Do About It
"Accept personal responsibility for your present situation and decide to move forward rather than wasting energy by blaming your current condition on past circumstances.  Chalk up those circumstances as lessons learned, and move on.  Instead of saying, 'I can't help it; someone else is at fault,' say, 'It's my responsibility to change things.'"   This specific lesson has really been prominent in my own personal development very recently.  I finally grasped this concept completely and took it all the way to heart, instead of just paying it the proverbial lip service.  I tell the story about my life.  It unfolds as I consistently provide a positive storyline and outlook and progressively and continually manifest abundance.  The last eight years more or less I have been stuck in a rut.  I had been suffering from the ever powerful; "Why would these things have happened to me?  What did I do to bring these negative results?"  And by dwelling on the negative things that had lead up to this point and reinforcing the negative vibrations with lines of thought such as: "Poor me, woe is me to have these things repeatedly bring me down.  How will life ever return to a positive place? How do I come back from this? And why should I have to?" I was manifesting negativity and effectively blocking out most of the abundance that was constantly surrounding me.  If I can take this one little nugget of knowledge and learn so incredibly much from it. than I know anyone can.  Download the Iphone app Speaking from Experience, and you will get 51 individual life lessons all at your fingertips.  I do not usually actively sell other people's products if I happen to not be making any commission what so ever.  In this instance, I believe in these products.  I know they can help people on their personal quest for self improvement.
I am also including a quick cut out from one of the Free Downloads on speaking from experience.com to illustrate one more time to you that this is something you should look into:
VOICE LESSON #3:

Savor your relationships.  Invest in the associations and contacts you already have.

The sabotaging voice says:
"Starting new relationships is more exciting than nurturing old ones.  I can't make any money raising a child or having friends.  Career advancement is most important.  I'm too busy for thank-you notes."
The inspiring voice says:
"My real treasures in life are my relationships.  They're worth investing in.  Just a little attention keeps them alive and vibrant.  People don't know what I don't tell them, so I have to make sure those I love and admire know how I feel about them."

The paper then proceeds to list out in bullet points several proactive solutions for you to place into effect immediately after you finish reading.  There you have it.  If it looks like something you can afford a few minutes of your time to check out, then there is a chance you might learn something new or relearn an important forgotten lesson.

To get your own free download of this marvelous learning tool simply head over to what I have, for personal reasons, dubbed "The Attitude Lab".  To most everyone else, that would be Mr. George Walthers' website: speaking from experience.com. On the site you will find a number of other great tools set up for free download.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. I hope everyone else finds this particular piece of knowledge to be incredibly helpful and as transforming or at least as enlightening as I do.  I want to thank you for reading and to please urge you to feel compelled to leave me comments.  Positive, or negative if you feel the need.  Please give me some constructive criticism, or if you have any desire at all to read about a certain topic within the overall umbrella topic of the blog, Please do tell me about it.  I will do my best to act on any comment I feel is constructive.  Take care and have a brilliant day.

Here are a couple of positive affirmations for you:
"I am calm and relaxed in every situation."
"I reach out to my community."
"I accept and learn from my mistakes."

Setting and Achieving Goals

Setting and Achieving Your Goal

There is no defined method to setting and achieving your goal. But if you read related literature and ask around for advice, the answers may be summed up into one thing: Know exactly what you want.

When setting and working towards achieving your goal, you have to be specific. General statements like "I want to own a car" are not as clear cut and effective as "I want to own a Ford Lynx within two years." Realizing this difference will help you be able to map out your life strategy more efficiently.

Paul Meyer, the author of "Attitude is Everything", suggest a S-M-A-R-T way to setting and achieving your goals. SMART means:

S- Specific (Again, know what you want)

M- Measurable (How much do you want?)

A- Action oriented (Something you can achieve by working for it)

R- Realistic (within your resources and means)

T- Tangible (something that you can appreciate and remind yourself of your hard work)

It would be good to set goals that challenge you. Otherwise, there really wouldn't be any point and fun to the process. When setting and seeking to achieve your goal, choose something that would not only benefit you in the end, but also offer a lot of lessons while you're at it. In this way, if you, unfortunately, do not get to reach your goal, you will still be thankful that you learned a lot of new things along the way.

To more easily set and achieve goals, take a little time identifying first what these are, so they won't contradict each other and leave you frustrated. The six areas you can set your goals against may involve family and home, spiritual and moral, finances and career, social, physical and mental. Identify goals in each of these areas to work out a clearer life plan. You will be thankful for the absence of mind clutter after.

Setting and achieving goals requires more than simply recognizing and identifying what they are. You have to realize the difference between a goal and a dream. A dream is something you just aspire for, whereas a goal is something that involves work and some form of sacrifice.

Setting goals is easy. It's the achieving part that poses the challenge. That's why you have to stay SMART at all times. Self-discipline is key. You need to be passionate enough to reach your goal, otherwise, what you've done is just writing random things down and wasting precious time and paper. And that is not smart.

An example is cheating on the goals you have set. You can't say you want to lose four pounds every month and then irresponsibly lose just one pound by not sticking to your diet plan and exercise plan. More importantly, you cannot make up for your blunder by saying "Hey, I'll just lose seven pounds next month." Not only will you be fooling yourself, you might even subject yourself to possible health risks!

As mentioned earlier, there is no fun to a goal that does not involve a challenge. It is boring and will more likely cause you to stray and break what you have set. If you think you don't have the willpower to achieve them, get a goal setting buddy. This way, you will be monitoring each other's progress.

Sacrifice and discipline are needed to setting and achieving effective goals. Sure, they can be quite difficult, but nothing definitely beats the satisfaction you get when you finally start enjoying the fruits of your labor. Now get smart and start moving.

Scholarship Application Tips

One aspect of career development for a lot of people these days is the proverbial road "back to school". Maybe to try and pickup a new career since the old one was not working out.  I know this is currently the path that I am on, so this topic is of great interest to me personally.  That topic is: obtaining scholarships!  I have included a brief list with some great tips that will help you with your application process.  I hope you find it useful and informative.

Scholarship Application Tips

Applying for a scholarship is not just filling up an application form and hope that you get response. It should involve careful evaluation and understanding of the whole application process so as to get better chances of winning your most desired scholarship.

To help you on this, here are the tips that you should consider before and during your scholarship application:

• Begin your search early

Like plane seats, more options come during the early stage of application. In other words, if you begin your search early, you can have better chances of landing on the best scholarship awards possible. Think of it this way: if you only apply on the closing days, most scholarship grants are already awarded to those who apply early or most scholarship applications have already closed. On the other hand, if you search for scholarship early, you can find many sponsors that would certainly increase your chances in winning the scholarship.

• Apply early

If you begin your search early, you should also apply early. There is not a single day to waste since many students like you are also battling out to win the same scholarship. However, this does not mean that you apply every single grant you find. You still have to evaluate and…

• Check your eligibility

There are countless of scholarship grants out there but there are only few that could fit you. To avoid the possible rejection of application, you should check if the scholarship grants and sponsors you are aiming at would fit your need. Read carefully the requirements since this is the best way to know if you are fit with the scholarship that is being offered.

• Prepare your requirements early

Never wait for your sponsors to ask for the requirements before you prepare for them. Take note that the sponsors work at a specified timeframes so if you run late on your filling of requirements, you may not get the scholarship.

• Create a good application letter

Just like applying writing for a job application letter, the scholarship application letter should show that you are the person to be awarded with the scholarship. Write a good application letter unique from others.

• Follow the instruction for writing the essay

Do not go beyond the boundaries of the length limit. Make sure to answer the questions carefully and sincerely. Use simple terms to keep your essay readable.

And finally, check, re-check, and double-check your requirements, essays, letters, and other supporting documents before submitting them to the sponsor.

Additionally, you have only two more days to experience and benefit from the Ultimate Social Media Giveaway Event! This site is where I discovered the free enrollment in the Viral Ad System.  There is literally thousands of downloads relating from anything to list building, viral traffic, site seo, to backlink building.  If you have even the smallest desire to pick up any social media material this year than you CANNOT miss this site.  Instead of paying upwards of $50-$100, you get thousasnds of full product downloads for free.  So please check out the site.  It will go down on Monday, March 12.
